Brazilian millennials: price-conscious, but determined to travel

Young Brazilian travelers are wary following years of economic and political turmoil in their country, but many are still making frequent travel a top priority. Brazil's younger demographic has been hit particularly hard by the country's economic crisis, with youth unemployment well above average. Not surprisingly, nearly three in 10 travelers aged 18-34 are extremely concerned about finding the best price for their vacation, compared to just one in 10 travelers aged 55 and older.

However, this younger demographic is intent on traveling. For many, thoughts of leisure travel and engagement with travel websites are integrated into their day-to-day lives. Forty-eight percent of travelers aged 18-34 actively engage in planning a vacation at least several times a month. Planning frequency declines with age: just 39% of travelers aged 35-54 and 27% of those 55 and older plan travel with the same frequency.
