Throughout this pandemic, Phocuswright research has indicated that travel continues to be central to people's lives. A majority of the European and American travelers we surveyed recently say it's core to their identity.

That does not mean things will go back to the way they were. Their expectations from suppliers, travel technology, fellow travelers, people that they interact with during the trip have changed. And the way they plan and book their travel, where they go and stay will be different. But, they're eager to get back on the road.
