Claudia Unger

Claudia joined the corporate travel industry in 2008 after completing a B.B.A. in tourism management. Fascinated that corporate travel hadn't been part of the curriculum, she started researching the industry and was subsequently hired by BCD Travel as director of research and intelligence. Speaking at events and engaging with professionals made her realize that many struggle with the lack of high-level information in corporate travel. Claudia gave up her position and started concentrating on writing a book to help others find their feet in the industry: Corporate Travel: Hiding in Plain Sight, which was published in 2016. After publishing her book, Claudia explored more ways of helping business travelers navigate work-life balance and has set an executive coaching practice.

In 2017, Claudia joined the team of Phocuswright analysts where she combines her passion for the industry and helping people with her research. Claudia also holds an M.A. in marketing communications.
