Mitra Sorrells

Ms. Sorrells oversees content strategy across Phocuswright's three lines of business—research, events and our media outlet, PhocusWire. She ensures alignment and continuity across all editorial and analytical output, connecting the insights in Phocuswright’s research with the themes explored at our events and in the news and analysis featured on PhocusWire.

Mitra joined PhocusWire as a senior reporter in January 2018 and became editor in chief in May 2022. She has more than two decades of experience as a journalist for a variety of digital, print and broadcast outlets and a B.A. in journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is based in Orlando and enjoys rowing, cooking and playing with her dog.
