Phocuswright, a subsidiary of Northstar Travel Group, is currently seeking an ambitious and highly motivated B2B Media Sales Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in media sales and a deep understanding of the travel technology industry. You will be responsible for identifying new sales opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and selling our diverse range of advertising products and services to travel technology companies looking to increase their profile within the travel industry. A high-level of competence in consultative selling is essential. Personally crafting integrated programs that align with client goals, expanding our positive industry impact, and consistently meeting and exceeding individual and team objectives is crucial to this role.

The ideal candidate will either be based in New York, New York or Denver, Colorado, however, candidates in other areas of the United States will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full sales life-cycle for clients, including prospecting, lead qualifying, solution selling, proposal development and account conversion.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and grow our client base within the travel technology sector.
  • Identify, research, and qualify new business opportunities, leveraging your knowledge of the industry and our product offerings.
  • Build and maintain long-lasting relationships with clients by understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Conduct sales presentations, negotiate contracts, and close deals effectively while maintaining a high level of professionalism and customer service.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, editorial, and production, to develop custom content, webinars, and white papers that align with clients' objectives and deliver results.
  • Continuously monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and threats, adapting your sales strategy accordingly.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all sales activities, pipelines, and forecasts in our CRM system.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to network with potential clients, stay current with industry developments, and represent the company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in media sales, preferably within the travel technology or B2B sector.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Strong understanding of the travel technology industry and its key players.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative, resourcefulness, and adaptability.
  • Proficient in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel as needed for client meetings and industry events.
