Airbnb Veterans More Likely to Book Longer Stays

Newcomers are only willing to test the private accommodation rental experience infrequently at first, with shorter, exploratory trips for their first try with Airbnb. (Reasons cited for discomfort with renting a private accommodation include preferring hotel amenities, unfamiliarity with the booking process and more.)

Nearly four in 10 first-timers booked a one- or two-night rental, compared to only 20% of repeat users.

However, veteran Airbnb-ers were much more likely to book three- to four-night stays (38%), five-to six-night stays (24%), and stays of a week or longer.
