Gillian Huntoon Joins Phocuswright Research Team

Phocuswright is pleased to announce its recent hire of Gillian Huntoon, who joins the team of travel industry experts as project manager. With over 17 years of experience in travel technology, Gillian takes the lead in building data-driven products that combine Phocuswright's proprietary global database with third-party metrics for travel planning and analysis.

"As Phocuswright continues to advance and innovate with its research projects, Gillian is instrumental in implementing first-class solutions for our clients," said Phocuswright's managing director, Tony D'Astolfo.

Gillian comes with a wealth of experience, working exclusively for travel technology companies since 1998. Most recently, she worked for Amadeus IT Group, where she held the position of investment manager for Amadeus Ventures, a travel venture fund that makes minority stake investments in travel technology startups. Gillian was also a marketing research analyst for the Amadeus central organization for nearly eight years, where she was involved in managing primary research projects for Amadeus globally. Prior to Amadeus, Gillian worked for Oracle Corporation and was on the team that developed e-Travel, acquired by Oracle and later, Amadeus.

"We are thrilled that Gillian joined Phocuswright and the timing couldn't be better," said Lorraine Sileo, Phocuswright's senior vice president, research. "Through her tenure at Amadeus, Gillian became quite familiar with Phocuswright research and is the ideal person to help guide our path as we develop data visualization tools for our customers. Gillian's in-depth knowledge of the travel industry also makes her a valuable research analyst as we continue to build out our team."
