Drew PattersonAs vice president of marketing at Kayak.com, Drew Patterson is responsible for developing and implementing all marketing activities to promote the Kayak brand worldwide. Drew is focused on developing cost effective ways to introduce consumers to Kayak.com which include managing an extensive online advertising campaign. He is also responsible for user communications and monetizing portions of the site. Drew also participates in the development of Kayak’s commerce technologies. Drew joined Kayak.com as director of business development and was responsible for developing commercial relationships with travel suppliers and distribution partners. Prior to joining Kayak.com, Drew held a number of positions at Starwood Hotels. As director of pricing, Drew was responsible for developing and executing Starwood's pricing and revenue management initiatives. Drew supervised Starwood's rate structure, identified effective pricing strategies, and monitored the company's revenue performance and trends. Drew was also responsible for implementing Starwood's training programs for field revenue managers. As director of distribution strategy, Drew was responsible for the development and implementation of initiatives such as Starwood's Best Rate Guarantee in 2002, and for developing Travel Web, the hospitality industry's response to the independent lodging discount websites. Drew joined Starwood in 1999 as manager of business development and was responsible for developing partnerships and new business opportunities. Drew graduated from Harvard University and earned his master's in business administration at Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. He resides in New York City.
