Jon is a search marketing industry veteran who has been in the space for over a decade. Since the mid-90’s, Jon’s passion for technology and marketing have driven innovative search marketing strategies that focused on achieving significant ROI for multiple Fortune 1000 companies. Jon’s broad understanding of the space include all facets of Internet marketing, technology, web analytics, research and tracking. Jon started Strategic Internet Marketing Partners (SIM Partners) in January 2006 to help clients take advantage of the fast paced changes in the search marketing industry. In addition to providing a standard suite of eCommerce services, SIM Partners is helping clients optimize their business with www.LocalHotelDirectory.com, YourConciergeTV (YCTV) and Web video production, optimization, distribution and online promotion. Based on Google's recent "Universal Search" upgrade, local and video search marketing just became more relevant in the hospitality industry. Many hotel chains have recognized the need to implement search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, now the hospitality industry must consider a video and local search strategy to remain competitive. Prior to starting his own business, Jon was CEO of Proceed Interactive; Jon built the firm from start-up to an early search marketing leader. While at Proceed, Jon’s business acumen resulted in an impressive portfolio of more than 50 customers, including General Motors, Wells Fargo, Omni Hotels, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, Mark Travel and Kaplan (Score! Educational Centers). In 2005, Jon joined industry leader iCrossing as the Director of Client Services for the Central Region. While at iCrossing, Jon managed a team responsible for a roster of blue chip, Fortune 1000 clients. Jon has spoken at numerous industry shows and conferences in his career. He is currently the co-chair of the SEMPO (Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization) Institute Committee and an active volunteer at these non-profit organizations: www.icstars.org and www.santavp.org . Jon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Indiana University in 1993. Jon lives in Chicago with his wife and two children.
