Gillian GibsonGillian Gibson was appointed Vice President, Multinational Customer Group in July 2007. In her extended role, reporting to Julia Sattel, VP, Global Sales Development, EMEA & LA, she is responsible for the global deployment of Amadeus strategy for the multinational customer segment with a stronger regional focus. By setting up a dedicated team of cross-functional specialists in North America, she aims to gain market share in Online Travel Agencies (OLTAs) and Travel Management Companies (TMCs), as well as explore opportunities in the Metasearch area. Gillian was appointed Director, Travel Agency Partners in March 2002 in charge of developing business relationships with leading multinational travel agency partners who represent over 30 per cent of Amadeus' annual bookings volume, and includes key customers such as American Express, TUI/TQ3, Carlson Wagonlit, Business Travel International and Franchise & Consortia Gillian joined Amadeus in December 2001 as Director, Global Business Travel Accounts, bringing excellent international business experience with her. Prior to joining Amadeus, Gillian developed her international business experience in the IT, Finance and Automotive industries. During her five years as part of the management team of Mondex International (a MasterCard subsidiary), she negotiated major commercial agreements with large corporations in the US, Japan and Europe. Gillian began her career in technology procurement management, working for General Motors and National Westminster Bank.
