Sophie Forest has 15 years of experience in the high-tech venture capital industry. Prior to joining Brightspark, she held the position of partner at CDP Capital Technology since 1996. Before joining CDP, she held the position of director of alliances and acquisitions for Bell Canada, where she developed strategies and orchestrated operations for acquisitions in Eastern Canada. Prior to working at Bell, she was involved in the start-up and growth of GTI Capital, one of Québec’s pioneer private venture capital firms, as director of information technology investments. Sophie sits on the board of directors of a number of technology startups amongst them Mobivox Technologies, Xtranormal Technologies, eXludus Technologies, Openplaces, Radian6, Jazinga and Protecode. She is also co-CEO of Brightspark 3.0, a company that creates, manages and grows internet businesses.
