Ricky HeathRicky Heath has been a travel and transportation industry executive since 1980 having direct experience with all P&L related activities managing sales, marketing, operations and IT solutions organizations on a global basis. Ricky has helped airlines and other travel related companies around the world develop and execute major strategic initiatives and large scale IT projects. These initiatives include implementing reservations systems, creating distribution strategies, leading thought leadership with the development of hosting platforms, deploying e-commerce programs and marketing technology subscription models. Ricky has maintained his focus on the travel and transportation industry with 20+ years of executive leadership at Delta Air Lines and Worldspan (a global travel distribution and technology company formerly owned by Delta Air Lines, Northwest Airlines and American Airlines). He now leads AT&T’s strategic initiatives within the technology leader’s travel and transportation vertical practice. Ricky has extensive experience working with large global travel related companies such as Delta Air Lines, British Airways, China Airlines, Alitalia, United Airlines, Sabre Travel Network and American Express consulting them, as well as many other multi-national entities, on their business and IT strategies. While at Worldspan, Ricky was instrumental in leading his team’s effort successfully contracting American Express to a multi-year technology agreement developing an innovative business model, never before used in the industry, resulting in a revolutionary approach to the travel distribution business. A member of several world wide travel organizations, Ricky is a frequent industry speaker and panel member at many travel and transportation industry conferences and meetings. Ricky earned a bachelor of science in education from the University of Tennessee, where he attended on an athletic scholarship, and a master of business administration (MBA) degree in enterprise corporate strategy and marketing from Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia.
