Q. Can I get a quote from PhoCusWright for my publication/Web site/press release?
A. PhoCusWright does not prepare quotes specifically for press releases or other marketing materials. However, companies who have purchased research from PhoCusWright are allowed to quote excerpts from PhoCusWright's published material with proper attribution. Information may also be quoted from PhoCusWright's FYI with proper attribution. All PhoCusWright Inc. publications are protected by copyright.

Q. May I share my username and/or password with a colleague or co-worker?
A. You may not share individual usernames with others. Base and Premium level subscriptions include a specific number of individual seats, which are distributed to specific employees. The subscription Web site, and the information gathered or downloaded within, is for the sole use of the seatholder who logged in. (Note that employees of companies that subscribe on an Enterprise basis are not affected by this restriction.)

Q. I'd like to purchase one of your reports. What are my options?
A. We offer 3 delivery options:
(1) Single seat (PDC)—standard
We will send you a secure single seat PDF via email. PhoCusWright uses LockLizard Safeguard technology to
secure our PDFs. Our secure PDF reports are licensed to ONE USER on ONE COMPUTER only, and can only be viewed using our provided secure PDF viewer application. The secure viewer and user license must be installed in order to open the secure file (PDC format). If you choose this delivery format, you will receive an email containing a link to the secure viewer installation file, as well as your exclusive viewer license file. The email will contain concise instructions for installing the small viewer application. You will also receive a second email containing the actual secure PDC file. Once you have installed the viewer application, you will be able to view the secure PDC report as often as you like, but you will only be able to print the report ONCE. We do allow screenshots on our secure files.
(2) Enterprise
If you purchase a report with the enterprise pricing option, we will send you an unlocked PDF via email. You will receive a normal, unsecured PDF of your report, which may be shared internally within your organization. Any sharing of PhoCusWright PDF reports outside of your immediate organization is strictly prohibited. NOTE: Unlocked PDF reports currently cost 33% more than the secure PDF or printed report. All PhoCusWright Inc. publications are protected by copyright.
(3) Print
All publications are delivered in PDF format unless otherwise specified. Print pricing is the same as single seat pricing.

Q. I'd like to order a report and receive it via secure PDF. I have a Mac, will I have any difficulties viewing it?
A. Follow instructions below to view your secure PDF on your Mac.
1. Do not click the first viewer link in the PDF Viewer Registration email. There is a link for Mac users a few lines below it: "Apple Mac users can download the Viewer software from http://www.locklizard.com/Downloads/PDCViewerSetup.dmg"
2. After clicking the link, download the PDCViewer.dmg file
3. Double-click the .dmg file. It will show up as a 'disk' icon on your desktop.
4. Double-click the disc icon. It should open a window with an install package (.pkg) file in it.
5. Double click the install package and follow the prompts to install the software. Should be a quick process.
6. You can now close the install-package window and 'eject' the disk image icon that was created when you double-clicked the .dmg file.
7. Save the safeguard_v_license.llv file from your PDF Viewer Registration email to your desktop.
8. Double-click the .llv file. You should get a message that your viewer license was registered successfully.
9. Now Double-click your .PDC file (secured PDF report) file. It should load, register, and you should be able to view it just like a PDF.

Q. When I receive printed reports from PhoCusWright in the mail, may I share those with a colleague or co-worker?
A. Yes. You may share pre-printed reports that you receive from us with fellow employees of your company only. These individuals are bound by copyright provisions, however, which prohibit making photocopies or reproductions.

Q. Can I forward a report or article to an associate?
A. All PhoCusWright Inc. publications are protected by copyright. It is illegal under U.S. federal law (17USC101 et seq.) to copy, fax or electronically distribute copyrighted material beyond the parameters of the License or outside of your organization without explicit permission. Except for a single copy made for personal use only, you may not copy, produce, modify, republish, upload, post, transmit, or distribute, electronically or otherwise, any PhoCusWright research reports in any form or by any means without prior written permission from PhoCusWright Inc.

Q. May I purchase additional copies of a pre-printed report at a discount?
A. Yes, subscriber seatholders receive a 50% discount on purchases of individual reports.

Q. Can I use information and/or a chart in a presentation or article I am writing?
A. Yes, as long as you credit PhoCusWright, you may share charts and data tables both internally and externally.

Q. My company has a subscription with a set number of seats. May we purchase additional seats?
A. Yes, contact us for additional seat purchases and licenses that include additional seats.

Q. We are in the process of hiring a new employee who will be assigned as a seatholder. In the meantime, can I temporarily assign his/her seat to someone else?
A. Yes. We want you to get the most use out of your subscription so please feel free to assign a temporary seatholder. You will need to notify us when you are ready to reassign the seat.

Q. If a current seatholder changes positions within the company and no longer needs to access the research, can I switch/reassign seats?
A. Yes, of course! Please notify us of the change (provide us with complete contact information for the new seatholder) so that we can update our records.

Q. I don't want to go to the Web site every day to check the new research posted. Do you send notices when something new is posted?
A. Yes, we send Alerts to notify you of new research, Analyst Briefings and other subscriber-related notices. If you are a seatholder for a research subscription, you have automatically been added to our Alert list. You can also subscribe to the following feeds: PhoCusWright's FYI, press releases, blog, or syndicated research notifications.

Q. I forgot my username and/or password. Can my log in information be emailed to me?
A. Yes, just click 'forgot your password?' on the login screen and a new password will be emailed to you. If you are still unable to log in, please contact us.

Q. How often may we use the Access to Analyst benefit?
A. Companies that subscribe to The Global Edition on a Base level may use this benefit two times per subscription year. Global Edition Premium level subscribers may use this benefit six times per subscription year. Companies that subscribe to The European Edition on a Base level may use this benefit two times per subscription year. European Edition Premium level subscribers may use this benefit four times per subscription year. (See your Agreement or contact us). Enterprise subscribers (both Global Edition and European Edition) receive unlimited Access to Analyst benefits.

Q. If I have a question about what research you have published or where I can find a particular data point, does this count as an Access to Analyst?
A. No, basic customer service questions are not considered Access to Analysts.

A. Yes. ALL EMPLOYEES of the subscribing company receive a 10% discount off the prevailing price of The PhoCusWright Conference at the time of registration. Use the discount code "client" when registering.

A. We do send hard copies of our major reports to seatholders that have made this preference known. Please contact us to change your preference. However, if you do not have a hard copy of a report and would like one, please contact us we will be happy to send it to you.

A. Yes. As a subscriber to one of our subscriptions, different publications are available for purchase. Please contact us if you have any questions of what publications you have access to, and regarding additional publications you are interested in.

Q. Do you hold Online Events on the research you post. If so, is there a charge?
A. Yes, after a major report is published we will hold an Online Event (Webcast), usually a few times per year. A Webcast will run for approximately one hour and will include time to answer any questions you have on the report. No, there is no charge to participate in Online Events based on reports that are part of your subscription. Upcoming Webcasts will be communicated via alerts, FYI messages and will be posted on the main conferences page.
